Garage Floor Preparation

Unfortunately, it is common to see companies who will sand down an old coating and then apply a new one; however, this is not the best way to coat or re-coat a floor and often leads to peeling or other problems later on.

Sanding a bare concrete floor may clean the surface dirt but very little else.

To truly open up the pores of the concrete and allow for absorption, the concrete must be ground with a diamond blade grinder. This ensures that the coating is absorbed fully into the concrete.

When dealing with an existing coating, anything applied on top is only as strong as the old coating, and sanding only roughens up the coating and cleans some of the surface dirt.

To properly install a new coating, the old coating must be completely removed with a diamond grinder.

Trademark Garage Floors diamond grinds all of our floors before installing the coatings. We then repair all holes, divots and cracks which ensures that you not only get full absorption but a smooth floor too.

Our floor preparation along with our amazing products are what allow us to offer such a strong guarantee!
